Sneaker Sunday: Nike React Element 87 “Moss”

As summer is nearing its end, I’m ready to declare my “sneaker of the summer”: The Nike React Element 87.  Technically, Nike declared this the sneaker of last summer (2018) but since I only recently acquired it; it’s my sneaker of this summer ’19.  This is a sneaker I admired from afar ever since I saw early leaks of the shoe drop online.  This “Moss” colorway came out in early 2019 and I patiently waited for the opportune moment to strike (aka when it went on sale and I had a gift card).  Once acquired, I was not disappointed…

Processed with VSCO with e1 presetNike’s React technology gives this sneaker the most comfortable mid-sole I’ve ever had the privilege to wear.  It’s light and bouncy and it molds to your foot the more you wear it.  It also utilizes a gum bottom in a unique way.  Undoubtedly the coolest aspect of this shoe is the translucent upper.  Wearing this sneaker with different color socks is my favorite way to rock this (the Nike “volt” socks being my favorite color combo) and I love how it looks on foot…

The little details in this sneaker are what really put this shoe over the top.  The cork like insole (picture 1) is a cool feature, the blue reflective laces (picture 2) pop against the earth tones while the brown leather eyelets (picture 3) offer stability along with the orange stitching (picture 4) throughout the sneaker…
